Sujana’s father Abu Zafar died in July 3rd last year. She has a twin sister named Rokaiya Zafar Shupra, has an elder brother Nipu and a younger brother Shipu. Her mother’s name is Anowara Begum.

In 2006 Sujana married a businessman named Foysal but the marriage did not last longer than several months and Sujana left the media world for unknown reasons.

After a three years break, came back in 2008 through an advertisement directed by Amitav Reza. At that time she became model of seven commercials including Banglink and Keya cosmetics. Afterwards she got the opportunity of participating in the commercials of Wheel, Matador Pen and Lux Body Wash.
